STUDIO SHUFFLE · OPEN WEB BETA

Beta privacy notice

Version dated November 6, 2026. This notice describes the current self-service account beta, not a final public-store policy.

Studio Shuffle is a match-three pottery puzzle game operated as a test project by Smith Works Studios. This beta is for people aged 13 and older. Players under 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian. Accounts are not offered to children under 13. A parent or guardian should review this notice with a teen before registration.

Information used

When you sign in, the service uses your email address for account verification and password recovery. Password authentication is managed by Supabase; the game does not save your password in browser storage. It stores a randomly assigned account identifier, the display name and private player code you select or receive, verified game rounds and scores, level progress, and membership or invitation status for private circles.

On your device, the game saves session credentials, local settings, anonymous practice progress, and any custom material audio you choose to import. Custom sound recordings stay in that browser's storage; they are not uploaded for circle rankings.

Age check and teen accounts

Before entering an email to create an account, you enter your age in years. The game checks this on your device, discards the exact age, and sends only an age band (13–17 or 18+) with your registration. We record that band, the privacy-notice version, a registration timestamp, and a teen’s confirmation of parent or guardian permission. This is a self-reported check, not identity verification or verified parental consent.

If the age check does not allow registration, no email or signup request is sent. A local browser flag remembers that result to prevent immediate retries; it contains no name, birthday, or exact age. Existing accounts and saved progress are retained and are not assigned an inferred age.

Choose a nickname rather than your full name. Do not put your school, address, contact details, or birthday in your nickname or a circle name. Accept circle invitations only from people you know.

Sharing and visibility

The public, read-only leaderboard displays each player’s username and highest server-verified score, including to signed-out visitors. It does not expose email addresses, account identifiers, private player codes, or circle membership. There is no chat, direct messaging, or public player search. A circle owner can invite another account only by its player code. Invitations do not reveal scores; accepted members can then see the circle’s display names, level progress, and verified best scores. Circle owners can remove members, and members can leave. The game does not publish your email address to other players.

Service providers and security

Account sign-in and game records use Supabase authentication and database infrastructure. The installed web app uses browser storage for sessions and offline play. Hosting and infrastructure services may retain operational and security logs. The beta does not currently run behavioral advertising or sell player data. Private circle records are protected by authenticated server endpoints and accepted circle membership. The global leaderboard is public and limited to nicknames and verified scores. The age information is not included in either leaderboard.

Account deletion and control

You can change your public display name, sign out, leave circles you joined, or use My Studio → Delete account. Account deletion removes your account and related active game records and circles. Service-provider backup or security-log retention may persist for a limited time outside the active database. Removing the web app from your home screen does not itself delete the online account. You may clear your device's browser data to remove locally saved practice and session records.

Beta limitations

Game rules, account flows, and data structures may change during testing. The beta is provided for feedback, and scores may be reset as part of explicitly announced test migrations. Invite only people who meet the age requirement. For privacy concerns, a nickname that reveals personal information, or a suspected under-13 account, contact Smith Works Studios. Include the game name and the minimum information needed to identify the concern; do not send passwords or identity documents. We will review requests to remove an account and its related game data. If you can sign in, account deletion is available directly in My Studio.
